A comprehensively stocked trauma kit designed to deal with major incidents, particularly those with major blood loss.
The Health & Safety Executive has published advice suggesting that high risk workplaces where there is a risk of an injury resulting in severe blood loss should consider including emergency tourniquets and haemostatic dressings as part of their first aid provision. This trauma kit contains both these items as part of the new Critical Injury Pack which has been introduced by the BSI, under BS8599-1 2019. The kits also contain a range of other products suitable for treatment of a wide range of serious incidents like significant burns.
However, the trauma kit is also ideally suited to environments that are concerned about major incidents which may pose a significant risk to staff or members of the public.
