Q) How do you activate the ice packs?
The instant ice pack activates when the two ingredients in the pack mix and become cold. To get the two ingredients to mix, hold the pack firm in two hands, squeeze and twist the pack until you feel the inner pouch of liquid burst. Once the inner pouch bursts, shake the pack vigorously and the two ingredients will mix effectively and the ice pack will become instantly cold within seconds.
Q) I am finding the packs hard to activate, what should I do?
The instant ice packs are manufactured to a high specification and are designed to ensure that they do not activate too easily. If they activated too easily, they may activate whilst being delivered or even whilst carried in your first aid kit, which would mean they are not usable when you need them. If you find a pack a little difficult to activate, place the pack on a hard surface and gently strike the pack with a closed fist. Repeat until you feel the inner pouch burst and the pack will start to become cold immediately.
Q) How will I know if the ice pack has activated successfully?
Upon activation the temperature of the ice pack will drop immediately and become very cold. If you do not experience an intense cooling effect it is likely that they pack has not activated correctly. Repeat the activation instructions until you feel the pack go noticeably cold.
Q) Is the instant ice pack reusable?

Q) Does the ice pack contain ammonium nitrate?
No, these ice packs use urea instead of ammonium nitrate. The use of ammonium nitrate in ice packs was prohibited many years ago.
Q) How long does the instant ice pack stay cold?
This ice pack is a compact ice pack, weighing 100g. It is the weight of the ingredients in the pack that determines how long the ice pack stays cold. This pack will stay cold for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Q) How do you store the instant ice packs?
Instant ice pack should be stored at room temperature. They do not need to be refrigerated.
Q) What is the expiry date of the instant ice pack?
Each instant ice pack will clearly display an expiry date. The expiry date of each pack will be 3 years from the date it was manufactured. Typically, it may take up to 6 months from the date of production for the product to reach the end consumer, so you can typically expect to have approximately 24 to 30 months shelf life on each ice pack.

Once the pack has been activated and used, you can dispose of the pack as normal household waste.

Locate inner pouch and squeeze firmly to break
Shake well to mix contents
Place on injured part of the body and secure with bandage
